Nomura Says Many Major Economies Will Hit Recession In 2023

A report by Nomura Holdings Inc revealed many major economies will enter recessions over the next 12 months. This is spurred due to tightening government policies and rising living costs which will push the global economy into a ‘synchronized growth slowdown’ Nomura said the Eurozone, the UK, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Australia and the US will fall into recession.

TDS on Crypto Coins: Trading Platforms Implement New Rules, Check Out the Changes

A set of new rules regarding taxations of cryptocurrencies and Virtual Digital Assets have already come into effect from July 1. The buyer of a VDA has to pay 1 per cent tax deducted at source (TDS) of the amount paid to the seller. The Finance Act, 2022, inserted a new section 194S in the Act. The new section mandates a person, who is responsible for paying to any resident any sum by way of consideration for transfer of a virtual digital asset (VDA), to deduct an amount equal to 1% of such sum.
