A case has been registered against unidentified people for allegedly damaging an idol at a temple in Kathua district. The incident reportedly took place in Dhamlar-Morha village in Mahanpur on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Angry villagers led by district development council member Goldy Kumar blocked the main road.
Unidentified miscreants vandalised a temple in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Monday (July 11) Police has registered a case against them for allegedly damaging an idol. The case was filed on Tuesday, a day after the incident which has caused unrest in the village.
The body of a 10-year-old boy was found stuffed in gunny bag in Saidpur village of Kathua district. The victim was found dead with his mouth taped shut and limbs tied with cloth. Police have arrested Pawan Kumar Saini, 55, his minor son and two other minors.
