Prayagraj unit of Special Task Force arrested two accused involved in crude bomb attack. Abhishek Shukla of Jaunpur and Sonu Kumar of Balia were carrying a reward of ₹25,000 on their arrest. Four members of the gang had been arrested earlier by Civil Lines police.
A retired doctor from Dehradun paid over 66 lakhs for a ‘Golden Retriever’ puppy which she never received. The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttarakhand police has arrested one Cameroon citizen on charges of cyber fraud. This arrest comes almost a year after another foreign national was arrested.
The Special Task Force recovered 14 vehicles, including eight cars, and ₹8 lakh from the possession of the accused. Police said that Akash Chopra had hidden the weapon and bullets in a flowerpot on the roof of his house. The STF also found that his wife, Alisha Chopra alias Pooja Chopra, used to help him in drug peddling.
The Ludhiana unit of the anti-drug Special Task Force (STF) of Punjab Police arrested a man, and recovered 2.05 kg heroin. The STF also recovered eight four-wheelers, including SUVs, three motorbikes and three scooters. The accused was identified as Akash Chopra alias Honey, 31, of Mohalla Gurmel Park on Tibba road.
The Special Task Force detained a person after he was seen at the Passing Out Parade near Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun in a fake uniform. The man was earlier posted in Srinagar and was declared a fugitive by the Indian Army in 2017.
