After 9 months, KCR finally breaks the ice with Governor

Chief Minister K.CHandrashekar Rao visited Raj Bhavan and met Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday. The CM arrived to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Justice Ujjal Bhuyan as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court. He exchanged pleasantries with the Governor by presenting her a bouquet soon after his arrival.

Justice Ujjal Bhuyan was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court. He succeeded Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, who was transferred to the Delhi High Court. Chief Minister K. Justice Satish Chandra Sharma takes oath as Delhi HC Chief Justice

Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena administered the oath to the 60-year-old Justice Sharma. The Delhi High Court had been functioning without a regular chief justice after the retirement of Justice D N Patel. Justice Sharma had earlier served as the chief justice of the Telangana High Court.

Displaced medical students to be accommodated in other colleges

The National Medical Commission (NMC) filed an affidavit in the Telangana High Court giving approval of supernumerary seats in government medical colleges to accommodate medical students who lost admissions following its decision to cancel recognition of three medical colleges in the state. The High Court directed the NMC and the state government to file affidavits explaining how they were going to relocate the PG medical students into other government and private medical colleges.
